Ukraine pays off Eurobonds under U.S. guarantees for $1 billion

On May 16, Ukraine’s Ministry of Finance has paid off the first issuance of bonds of the external loan under the U.S. guarantees, as the website of the establishment reported.

It was noted that Ukraine issued the bonds of nominal value $1 billion under the guarantees of the U.S. in May, 2014. The interest rate on these securities made 1,84% per annum.

Earlier, Finance Ministry reported on the reduction of interest rate on internal state debt. Total public debt (direct) and state-guaranteed debt in Ukraine increased by $0,54 billion in 2019 – up to $78,78 billion.
