At the same time, the total temporary unemployment benefit paid in 2020 amounted to almost 16 billion hryvnias (569 million dollars). From January 1, 2021, the minimum wage will increase by one thousand hryvnias (35,6 dollars) - from 5,000 hryvnias (178 dollars) to 6,000 hryvnias (213,5 dollars).
On December 1, Ukraine increased the maximum amount of unemployment benefits. It should be noted that the amount of benefits is determined for each unemployed person individually. It depends on a person's salary and insurance record.
