The sides met for signing of the memorandum in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Serhy Savchuk, the Head of the Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving Agency represented Ukraine and Barto Prisma, the Head of the Dutch Enterprise Agency represented the Netherlands.
The sides have committed themselves to exchange the information on the best practices of the implementation of 'green' energy and mechanisms of its financing and to provide the development of the business relations between the Ukrainian and Dutch companies for the implementation of the joint investment projects in the sphere of the renewable energy within the signed document.
'The State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine extends the international cooperation. We have the well-established relations with such countries as Finland, Denmark, Slovakia and others. The cooperation with the Netherlands will allow us to attract the Dutch innovations and investments, especially for the projects in the bioenergy', Savchuk noted.
It is expected that Ukraine and the Netherlands will cooperate in such issues as the development of the bio-oriented economy, implementation of bioenergy projects, implementation of the reforms of green energy and Ukraine, implementation of the program of the renewable energy SDE+ and others.
