Ukraine lost 1 billion of dollars of net export in 2016 due to the trade aggression of Russia. The Deputy of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, trade commissioner of Ukraine Nataliya Mykolska claimed this at the press conference. Interfax-Ukraine reported this.

‘We talked a lot about the aggression but we did not talk about the Russian economic aggression. We should not forget that only in net export we lost 1 billion due to the Russian aggression, 20 % of the industrial production’, she noted.

Mykolska noted that export cannot grow in high rate due to the loss of the part of the industrial production. ‘We should produce something to export something’, she said.

She noted the growth of the EU countries shares in the general balance of the external trade of Ukraine.

Ukraine filed the lawsuit against Russia to the World Trade Organization due to the restriction of the transit of the Ukrainian goods through the territory of Russia to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Ukraine asks to create the expert group within the case.

Russia agreed to take part in the lawsuit on transit. Particularly, the speaker of Russian President, Dmitry Peskov claimed that Russia will use the measures required by the international law for protection.
