Ukraine is ready to discuss different variants on gas transit with Russia as Executive Director of Naftogaz Ukraine Yuriy Vitrenko reported on Facebook.
He states that the Ukrainian side is ready to consider the possibility of relocation of points of gas transmission to the Ukrainian-Russian border. Then European companies will be able to conclude the contracts on gas transit.
Moreover, Ukraine has no objection concerning the conclusion of the swap contracts, which will allow Naftogaz to “take gas at the eastern border and give it away at the western border.” Thus, the distinct operators in Ukraine and Europe will be responsible for the physical transportation of gas.
“In such case, these swap contracts should provide the income to Naftogaz, adequate compensation for the withdrawal of the lawsuits in Stockholm Arbitrage with the total sum of over $12 billion,” Vitrenko wrote.
He added that Ukraine provides the variants to Russia but it will not yield its interests.
The sides discussed the issue of gas transit at the Normandy Format Summit in Paris. They agreed on the further agreement.

Later Putin stated he was pleased with bilateral talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
