Ukraine exported goods for $31 million in 2018, - official

During the first nine months of 2018, the industrial production of Ukraine has increased by two percent in comparison with the same period of time in 2017. First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv made such statement as 112 Ukraine reported.

'The chemical industry showed 26 percent-larger growth during this period of time and automotive industry showed more than 15 percent of that,' he emphasized.

At the same time, Ukrainian export has grown, the official said. The growth has been observed on for more than a year and a half now.

'We have begun to export more. The export of Ukrainian goods has been growing for 20 months in a row. During eight months of this year, the Ukrainian entrepreneurs have exported the goods for almost $31 billion, including metal, machines, equipment, aviation, even nuclear reactors. The IT-industry came to the second place in the Ukrainian export of the services,' Kubiv claimed.

As we reported, this year, the volume of the bilateral trade between Ukraine and the U.S. increased by 16 percent. 

Besides, in the near future, Ukraine and Belarus will create a working group to improve the mutual trade between the two countries

The first session of the joint commission on the extension of the Agreement on the Free Trade between Ukraine and Canada took place on October 19.
