Ukraine may begin to receive the remuneration of compensation from Russia's Gazprom company already in April 2020. Olena Zerkal, the Deputy Foreign Minister said this in an interview with Radio NV.
"I know for sure that three billion would not be redundant. I know for sure that it will be able to get them already in April because decisions about the assets that Naftogaz could confiscate from Gazprom is expected to take place in Amsterdam in April", the diplomat said.
According to her, if the gas transit across Ukraine is stopped, there's still a good chance to get the positive decision of the arbitrary court; it considers another case of remuneration of USD 11 billion.
Ukraine and Russia are now discussing the option of Gazprom-provided gas supplies in lieu of three billion dollars.
