Ukraine completes issuance of ten-year Eurobonds, - Ministry of Finance

Investors from the UK, US and EU have bought most of the issue on initial placement

On January 27, Ukraine conducted payments on Eurobonds worth 1,25 billion euros with a yield of 4.375% and maturity in 2030. This was announced by the press service of Ukraine’s Ministry of Finance.

Eurobonds are currently listed on Euronext Dublin.

10-year Eurobonds were mainly placed among asset management funds (85%), hedge funds (7%) and pension and insurance funds (6%), while banks' share was 2%.

"Investors from the United Kingdom, the United States, and European Union countries have bought most of the issue on initial placement, their shares amounted to 42%, 34%, and 19% respectively. Investors from Asia and the Middle East have bought 5% of the issue. Money from the flotation of new Eurobonds has been transferred to the accounts of State Treasury Service of Ukraine and will be used to finance the state budget," the statement said.

As we reported earlier, Ukraine has to repay 16,4 billion dollars of debt during 2020. The external debt amounts to 6,9 billion dollars and internal – to 9,5 billion dollars. This data was published by the Ministry of Finance.

The debt is divided into four parts, with the smallest payment coming in the fourth quarter and the biggest – in the third.
