Ukraine's government has approved the draft of the next year's state budget for second reading in the Parliament. The respective decision was made on Thursday, during the snap session of the Cabinet.
"The key aspect is that the budget stays balanced and realistic in terms of execution. Next year, we expect growth in the economy, which would let us continue to increase funding for medicine, education and defense", Denys Shmygal, the Prime Minister wrote on his Telegram channel.
The Head of the government also claimed that the Cabinet did a lot of joint work and consultations with MPs. "We took most of the offers into consideration, given the priority of expenses, current capacities of the resource part of the budget, and the condition of the national economy", Shymgal said.
According to Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko, the budget meets the requirements of the IMF.
