Ukraine and Turkey have created a joint venture in the field of precision weapons and aerospace technologies. This was reported by Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) press service.
"The state-owned Ukrspetsexport company, which is part of Ukroboronprom, association of multi-product enterprises (conglomerate or concern) in various sectors of the defense industry, and the Turkish Baykar Defense company, which is one of the leading manufacturers of drones, have created a joint venture in the field of precision weapons and aerospace technologies," the statement said.
It is planned that this enterprise would combine the capacities of the defense complexes of the two countries for the mass production of the new models of modern weapons for their own armies.
One of the joint venture’s first projects will be the development of a new generation of UAV.
This drone will be able to conduct detailed reconnaissance from high altitude, spend hours in the air, show significant cruising speed and strike with a wide range of high-precision weapons.
Among other things, Turkish defense enterprises cooperate with Ukraine in the field of digital communication systems, attack drones, high-precision aviation weapons and the like.
It was reported that Ukraine and Turkey signed a protocol on space sharing and exploration.
Earlier these countries signed the partnership agreement. It occurred during the official visit of President of Ukraine to Turkey, Volodymyr Zelensky's press office reports.
The new deal prolongs the bilateral document signed between the Turkish Committee for Foreign Economic Relations and Ukraine's Trade and Industry Chamber in 1991.
