Uber, is going to launch UberEATS, a food delivery service, in Ukraine by the end of 2018. The company’s General Manager in Central and Eastern Europe Oleksiy Stakh has announced this in an interview with the Focus magazine, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“In the nearest future, we intend to launch UberEATS, a food delivery service. It will start operating by the end of the year. This service is growing very rapidly in Europe. The delivery time is significantly less than those with conventional delivery services”, he said.
According to Stakh, the company is also about to launch a new security system – a restriction on driver’s time in the application.
“After 12 hours at a wheel, a driver will not be able to log in for another 6 hours. This would allow the driver to rest, as well as us to improve driver and passenger security”, - he explained.
Aside from that, the company’s next step is to introduce a bike rental service.
“We want to integrate in the city’s transportation ecosystem across all means of transport”, - A. Stakh said.
