President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and President of the European Council Donald Tusk will visit the Luhansk region tomorrow, July 7. This is reported by Interfax news agency.
It is known that Tusk and Zelensky will familiarize with the situation in Donbas. They also plan to communicate with local residents and OSCE representatives.
This visit is scheduled before the Ukraine-EU summit, which will be held under the leadership of the President of Ukraine, President of the European Council Donald Tusk and President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker. They intend to discuss reforms, political priorities, security issues, as well as the implementation of the provisions of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.
We remind that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky departed to Lviv and Zakarpattia regions with one-day working visit as the President’s Office reported. Thus, the meeting with the leaders of the public opinion in Lviv region is planned for today.
In Zakarpattia the president will peruse with the work of the international checkpoint Uzhhorod. Then, he will hold the meeting on equipment of border guard, customs and road infrastructure.
“Besides, the program of the president’s visit includes a presentation of newly appointed heads of Lviv and Zakarpattia Regional State Administrations”,” the message said.
