U.S. President Donald Trump signed the interim budget approved by Congress until February 15. This is reported by RIA “Novosti” with reference to the White House.

The draft law provides for short-term renewal of full-fledged funding for the activities of the federal government, in particular, ministries and departments, which are currently without funds. It is assumed that the next three weeks will be used to negotiate a long-term budget.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump did not abandon his plans to build a wall on the border with Mexico.

"After 21 days, President Donald Trump will begin building the wall, with or without Democrats," White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders tweeted.

This means if Trump cannot reach an agreement with the Democrats, he will declare a state of emergency, which will allow him to begin building the wall on the southern border without Congress approval.

Earlier, Donald Trump proposed to resume the work of the government until February 15 without resolving the issue of allocating $ 5.7 billion to build a wall on the border with Mexico.

"I am proud to inform you today that we have reached an agreement on the termination of the "shutdown "and the resumption of the federal government. In the near future I will sign a bill to resume the work of our government for three weeks, until February 15," Trump informed.
