The cumulative government debt of Ukraine shrank by 0.7% (or $590 million) in July 2018 compared to the previous month and reached $75.71 billion (as of 31 July). This information has been published by the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance, 112.ua reports.
The government and state-guaranteed debt stood at UAH 2.03 billion ($75.71 billion) at the end of July, against UAH 1.998 billion.
The total amount of direct government debt as of 31 July constituted UAH 1,750,39 billion ($65.42 billion) against the UAH 1.73 billion ($66.14 billion) in the month before.
At the same time, the direct foreign debt went down by $0.01 billion to $37.51 billion, whereas the direct domestic debt declined by UAH 2.87 billion – to UAH 746.7 billion.
The debt guaranteed by the state on 31 July was at UAH 275.27 billion (or $10.29 billion).
Earlier it has been reported that in March of the current year the government debt of Ukraine expanded by 0.8% (or $600 million) and reached $77.4 billion.
