Andriy Gerus, the president's representative in the Cabinet, stated that the supplies of fuel from Russia would shorten twice after the introduction of duties, as 112 Ukraine reported.
Gerus noted that shortening of the supplies would take place in August.
“Generally, the supplies of the Russian resource in August will reduce twice. It is about things concerning the pipeline transport; it will be reduced from 200 up to 100,000 tons,” he said.
Gerus noted that the Russian Lukoil wanted to supply 80,000 tons of the diesel to Ukraine.
“We have information that the Russian Lukoil wanted to supply 80,000 tons of diesel to Ukraine. Earlier it supplied about 20,000. But it has not received permission from the Russian ministry. The supplies of Lukoil stopped from August 1. We see the unstable source of the supplies. We do not want to have independence from some decisions. Today the permission is present; tomorrow there is no permission. All of it keeps the market in limbo. We want to have a stable situation,” Gerus added.
The Cabinet of Ministers imposed the special duty for import of the diesel and liquefied gas from Russia.
Moreover, Ukraine imposed a special custom on all goods from Russia. Starting from August 1, there is an active ban on cement and plywood imports from Russia.
