Because of the current decrease in the use of steel, which is observed all over the world, Ukraine's steel melting rate fell by 10 percent over the last two months. This is mentioned in the article called "Ukrainian metallurgy entered the stage of crisis" and posted on the web portal of Ukraine's Industry Ministry.

"The Ukrainian metallurgy that depends on the export does not stand out in terms of the worldwide trend. According to ETR-Spectre LLC, 82.8 percent of the metal products made in Ukraine were sold on the foreign markets over nine months of this year. In September and October, the melting of steel in this country fell by 10 percent", reads the article.

The paper says that the tendency is observed all over the globe due to the global economic crisis, which is due to the trade face-off between the U.S. and China.

The major reason for the steel production decrease in Ukraine is that part of the production facility in Dnipro city suspended its work. Elektrostal, the steel factory in Kurakhove, Donetsk region, also ceased to work, which also affected the volumes of steel melting in Ukraine.
