The state fund for the support of housing for youth construction provided 568 young families under various state and local housing programs. The figure is 61% higher than the figure of 2016, the agency’s press service has informed, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“In particular, 154 families of ATO servicemen were provided with housing. Between 2015 and 2017 a total of 207 families of ATO soldiers were given apartments. Also, 65 families of internally displaced individuals were provided with housing”, - the message reads.
In 2017, investment in residential construction reached $13.67 million. This means that, compared to the 2016 level, the total investment grew by 73%. Most of the investment (43.7%) were allocated from local budgets, another 32% came from individuals.
Alongside that, as of the start of 2018, the agency has signed some 15,7 thousand of concessional lending for residential construction. According to the agency’s data, within the period between 1998 and 2017, a total of 38,000 Ukrainian families were provided with housing. During this time, more than 1 million of square meters of housing were built.
According to the State Fund’s statistics, in the nine months of 2017 over 330 of Ukrainian citizens were provided with housing under the Fund’s programs.
