The officials of the State Fiscal Service and Security Service of Ukraine made a search in the house of Yuriy Novikov, the former director of the Miranda company that developed the software for the system of e-declaration. The correspondent of 112 UA reported this.
‘The company is suspected in the incorrect payment of taxes. The Services confiscated the electronic data storage devices. Novikov received the statement of the suspect in the middle of May. The Solominskyi District Court will mete out the penalty for Novikov on May 31’, the correspondent reports.
Novikov also commented on the search.
‘We think that it is the attempt to distract the attention of the fact that e-declaration does not work properly. The results of the e-declaration are not researched, there are argues and now they suppress the company that worked out the system that is not used at the moment. Part of the contractors did they job, some part did not. Consequently, those who think that they did nothing decided that we brought this out of somewhere, so we did not pay the taxes’, he said.
The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine reported on this search. Particularly, they claimed that the search was made within the criminal proceeding on the willful evasion of the payment of the taxes and forgery by Novikov.
‘We cannot provide more detailed information, considering the article 222 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The investigation continues’, the message reports.
