Nazar Kholodnytsky, the Head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Bureau, filed a petition to the Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko concerning the lifting of immunity of Igor Mosiychuk, the people’s deputy from the Radical Party, as Ukrainian News report referring to the sources in the General Prosecutor’s Office.
“The petition was filed on Monday, September 17,” he said.
According to him, it concerns the case against Mosiychuk on suspicion of illicit enrichment and declaration of false information. In particular, it’s about his house.
Earlier, in September of 2015, the Verkhovna Rada voted for prosecution, detention and arrest of Igor Mosiychuk. He was accused of bribery, hooliganism, threats and violence against an official, interference in the activity of the judiciary, threats and violence against the judge. The court arrested Mosiychuk for two months without a right for a bail on September 18, 2015. The deputy announced a hunger strike as a protest. On November 17, Ukraine’s Supreme Administrative Court found the decision of the Verkhovna Rada on lifting the immunity and arrest of Mosiychuk illegal. The Supreme Court of Ukraine confirmed this.
Earlier, it was reported that NABU and SAP were preparing a petition on lifting the immunity of Lyashko.
Later, Nazar Kholodnytsky denied the information that SAP filed a petition on lifting the immunity.
