The Russian bank 'VTB' plans to close its branches in Ukraine. it is expected that only one or two offices will work in Kyiv until the end of the spring. All others will be liquidated. Andrey Kostin, the Head of the Bank claimed this as RIA News reported.
He claimed this during Russian investment forum.
'In fact, we will completely stop our activity until the summer. Now we close the offices all over the country and repay to the depositors', he emphasized.
There are five Russian banks in Ukraine: Sberbank, VTB, BM Bank, Prominvestbank and VS Bank that are under the sanction. The government banned them from the holding of the financial operations for the benefit of the connected to them establishments and persons, including the parent structures.
