Comparing to the previous year, the budget revenues of the capital in 2018 rose by 97 million dollars, reports the press office of the Kyiv City State Administration.

 ‘The budget incomes of Kyiv increased by 2.7 billion hryvnias (USD 97 million, - 112.International) comparing to 2017. The total budget of the capital in 2018 amounted to 52.5 billion hryvnias (USD 1.85 billion),’ claimed Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, reporting on the work of the City Administration over the year.

According to the Mayor, most of the funds, approximately two-thirds of the costs were traditionally spent for the social-cultural sector of the city: education, health care, social welfare, culture, and sports.  

It is reported that the funding was increased most in the domain of education – USD 97 million, health care – USD 43 million, social welfare and social security – USD 32 million.

As we reported, Kyiv City Council adopted a budget for 2019 on December 13. According to the document, the incomes and expenditure of the city budget will amount to more than 2 billion dollars.

The next year, the funds of the city will be spent on education – more than USD 609 million.
