One of Ukraine’s largest banks, PrivatBank, which now faces the process of nationalization, will cease to service entities for the period of 24 hours. Olexandr Danylyuk, Ukraine’s finance minister said this at a briefing on Monday morning.
‘Due to procedural reasons, the servicing of entities will be postponed for 24 hours; so it’s temporary. However, the responsible agencies are taking care so that this delay wouldn’t harm the entities’ businesses. No more restrictions for clients is foreseen,’ he said.
On Sunday, December 18, the Ukrainian government acquired 100 percent of the shares of PrivatBank, the biggest Ukrainian bank, according to the late Sunday announcement on the official website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
