Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk announced the reform of the tax system. It should be implemented from January 1, 2021, as Ukrayinska Pravda reported.

“We plan a deep reform of the tax system in spring. It is a bad practice and it should not take place, when the tax regime is complicated in the second half of a year. It may be simplified theoretically but it definitely should not be complicated. That is why we prepare the tax reform, which will come into force on January 1, 2021,” Honcharuk said.

The main task of this autumn is to organize the management of the taxes.

“We have Mrs. Markarova for it. I believe she is a good manager and decent person; I really count on her,” he said.

The head of the government expressed the conviction that it is necessary to reform the tax system “but it should not be started with small steps”. According to him, the problem of the simplified tax system of PUFs not in the non-payment of the taxes but in their uses for laundering of smuggling.

“It is difficult to talk now about the model, which we will offer but we will proceed from the fact that the whole country should be simplified. The taxation should be simple and not burdensome for everyone,” the prime minister stated.

As we reported very month Ukraine loses 3 billion UAH (120 million USD) due to gray schemes in the tobacco market, which help to avoid excise duty.
