Poroshenko urges foreign investors to join privatizing business in Ukraine

Ukrainian president met with leaders of Cargill and ArcelorMittal companies on the WEF’s sidewalks in Davos

Foreign businessmen mark the improvement of investment climate in Ukraine; they said so at the meeting with the country’s leader Petro Poroshenko who is now taking part in the World Economic Forum in Davos.   

Lakshmi Mittal, Head of Directors Board of ArcelorMittal company, and David McClennan, CEO at Cargill company met with Poroshenko in Swizterland to discuss further prospects of cooperation – in particular, switching to the modern production technologies. The Ukrainian leader urged the buisness leaders to join the privatization of businesses in Ukraine.

‘We do feel tangible progress in Ukraine,’ Mittal said.

McClennan stressed that his company, Cargill, is ready to expand its activities Ukraine – given the improved business climate, which became possible thanks to the ongoing reforms.
