President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko expects the next tranche from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the coming weeks. He said this to Bloomberg television during his visit to Davos, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
"I'm sure in a few weeks will be a meeting of the IMF board of directors, and we need to get the tranche", he said.
Poroshenko said that Ukraine has fulfilled all the conditions for obtaining the next tranche at the end of 2016. In particular, Ukraine stabilized the banking system by the nationalization of the largest Ukrainian bank - Privatbank.
Ukrainian President expressed confidence that Ukraine should have a good cooperation with the IMF "and it's not just about money: the message for the investors is more important."
