Poland’s PGNiG SA company and Ukrainian group of companies ERU signed the agreement on the exploration and natural gas extraction in Lviv region, Ukraine, not far from the border with Poland as PGNiG reported.
“The agreement signed today will allow us to hold the exploration and extraction of eh natural gas in very promising region. I am sure that the cooperation with the EU will increase the value of both companies,” Piotr Wozniak, the Board President of PGNiG said.
The group of companies ERU reported that it considers it as the first from many possibilities, which Ukrainian energy sphere may propose in the coming years.
The exploration well with a length of up to 2.500 meters will be drilled. Besides, the geophysical studies for the determination of the location of the next wells will be held. The works will begin right after the receiving of necessary permissions.
