According to the Representative of Polish Government on Strategic Energy Infrastructure Piotr Naimski, Poland is ready to launch the gas pipeline, which will connect the Polish system with the Ukrainian one in Germanovychy in the case of the necessity.
“Its capacity is 2,000 billion of cubic meters. It is not much but when the Ukrainians will need urgent help we are ready to provide it,” Naimski said.
He also emphasized that Poland expects the decision of Ukraine.
As we reported the work of the gas transporting system of Ukraine may be under threat after June 24 due to the lack of funds. It is reported that the company initiated the talks with the creditors, including Naftogaz Ukraine, which is a parent company, about debt restructuring. The National Security and Defense Council was also informed about the situation.
