Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal said that the dollar exchange rate in 2021 is expected to be at UAH 29. He told about this in an interview with the Ukraine 24 TV channel, Economichna Pravda reports.
"There is an active preparation of the budget for 2021. There is already a macro forecast ... The exchange rate is set at around UAH 29, that is, it is even a little more optimistic than we laid at UAH 29.5 this year," Shmygal said.
In addition, he added that until the end of 2020 the exchange rate will remain at the level of UAH 27-28 per dollar, and noted that from the point of view of the stability of the economy, budget and exchange rate, "we are doing well." The government does not see any reasons for changing the course.
"Today we have one of the most stable situations with gold and foreign exchange reserves, with liquidity of banks ... We have actually reduced the state debt by more than two billion since the beginning of the year. Therefore, everything will be in order with the course, I assure you," prime minister said.
