The Ukrainian Parliament passed the law No. 5300; it offers payment of one-time financial assistance for the Ukrainian business people who suffer losses during the lockdown. 312 MPs supported the bill, with 226 necessary to pass.
The document foresees that the funds will be assigned from the state budget and local budgets. The money will go to individuals who are hired workers of business units registered in the regions with the red level of epidemiological danger.
Thus, Ukrainian businessmen who pay the unified social tax will get USD 285 each.
Last December, the Parliament passed similar bill to support the business during the lockdown. Back then, President Volodymyr Zelensky explained that in order to get financial aid, one has to provide the necessary data and the number of the credit card via the Diya applet. Then, the specialists will run the data check, and the money will be transferred to the card within several days.
