Pariament increases funding for oxygen stations in hospitals

The Verkhovna Rada has increased spending on the purchase, design and installation of oxygen stations in hospitals. The corresponding bill № 5460 in the second reading and in total was supported by 336 members of parliament.

The document provides for the creation of a new budget program "Centralized procurement of oxygen stations for health care support facilities", as well as the allocation of a subvention from the state budget to local budgets for the purchase of health care support services for the design and installation of oxygen stations.

In addition, the provision of support hospitals with oxygen stations will also reduce the demand of hospitals for oxygen in cylinders, which will reduce the load on the logistics network.

As it was reported, a shortage of oxygen for Covid-patients appeared in the Mykolayiv regional center of treatment of infectious diseases again.

Odesa's hospitals for Covid patients are also facing a critical stuation with oxygen, the supplies have almost run dry.

Disruptions in the supply of liquid oxygen were also reported in hospitals in the Luhansk region.
