The National Bank of Ukraine set the exchange rate of U.S. dollar for September 4. Thus, 1 USD will cost 27.69 UAH, NBU website reports.
So, it appears that on Wednesday, the dollar rose in price by 0.05 UAH.
Euro cheapened by 0.06 UAH, and the current exchange rate makes 32.73 UAH.
Russian ruble currently costs 0.368 UAH.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law to raise the minimum wage from September 1 to UAH 5,000 (180 USD). This was reported by the press service of the President's Office.
"The document provides for an increase in the minimum wage from September 1 of this year to the level of 5 thousand hryvnyas per month," the message says.
Earlier, Zelensky noted that the increase in the minimum wage from September 2020 is only the first stage. As expected, the second stage will be an increase from 2021 to UAH 6 000 (209 USD), and over the next year the minimum wage will rise to UAH 6 500 (226 USD).
