After a year of halt, Odesa portside plant re-booted production of ammonium and carbamide. Mykola Shchurykov, the deputy director of the enterprise reported this on Facebook.
"After more than a year of the dead time, Odesa portside plant began to produce ammonium and carbamide. And though there are several days of jitters up ahead of us, one can say we're on the finish line," Shchurykov wrote.
The plant got back to work under the agreement with Agro Gas Trading company; the works will let the plant get up to 60 million cubic meters of gas on a monthly basis.
Odesa Portside Plant was launched in 1978. The main purpose of the enterprise is the production of ammonia, urea and other chemical by-products. The plant also provides shipments of products from other Ukrainian and many Russian enterprises, such as ammonia, urea and methanol.
