According to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, in 2021 the number of subsidies in the country will decrease. The Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko stated this on the air of the Ukraine 24 TV channel.

"If we compare the numbers of subsidies this year and next, they are the same. This year the adjusted figures for subsidies are 37 billion, next year - 36.6 billion. But there is a nuance - we are significantly increasing the minimum wage and other social indicators for certain categories of citizens. People will be able to pay by themselves, and there will be no subsidies," the minister said.

According to him, there are other categories of subsidies that are more in need of state support - they will be fully provided with a subsidy to pay for utilities.

As we reported before, the Ministry of Finance expects the visit of the IMF mission to Ukraine by the end of the year.

“Regarding the IMF, we are working with the mission, we have a constant dialogue, constant contacts. We are waiting for the Fund's mission to make a decision on revising the program. We do not know when this decision should be from them,” Marchenko said.
