Natural gas production in Ukraine may increase up to 500 mln cubic meters in Ukraine in 2017, twitted Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.

“We increased natural gas production up to 50 mln cubic meters this year. We expect to reach 500 mln volume in 2017. And I believe we will be able to satisfy all our needs in gas by 2020,” Groysman wrote.

As it was reported earlier the Conception of gas producing industry development until 2020 suggests gradual growth of gas extraction up to 27 billion cubic meters.

According to the estimates of the State Service of Geology and Mineral Resources of Ukraine gas reserves of Ukraine make at least 40 billion cubic meters on the area of 7 000 sq.m of the North-Western shelf of the Black Sea.
