National Bank lowers boundary sum for cash payments up to 50 000 UAH

Limitation enters into force for individuals starting from January 4

National Bank lowers the boundary sum for cash payments from 150 thousand UAH to 50 thousand UAH for individuals starting from January 4. This is stated on the National Bank's website.

In particular, the Resolution provides for the maximum amount of cash settlements between the individual and the enterprise (entrepreneur) within one day. This restriction also applies to the calculations of individuals with each other under the sales contracts that are subject to notarization.

Since January 4, individuals can carry out calculations on the amount exceeding 50 thousand UAH, by transferring funds to the account. Cashless calculations can be performed without any restrictions.

The maximum amount of cash payments for business with each other in a single day remains unchanged and amounts to 10 thousand UAH.

The National Bank believes that the establishment of the maximum amount of cash payments will help to ensure stable cash generation in the banking system and accelerate its handling and restraining the use of cash and accelerate the development of non-cash segment.
