Executive Director of Naftogaz-Ukraine Yuriy Vitrenko has officially resigned. He announced this on his Facebook page.
"Today is my last day at Naftogaz-Ukraine. I came here in 2014 right after the Revolution of Dignity. I have done everything to protect our dignity and defend our energy independence during all these years," Vitrenko wrote.
He noted that he had left Naftogaz "all of accomplishments" and money from Gazprom.
"I am leaving Naftogaz a lot of accomplishments (and ‘money' from Gazprom - the direction that I was responsible for). I want to wish the management of the company and the state enough competence and decency to use them for the benefit of the citizens of Ukraine," Naftogaz’s ex-CEO added.
As we reported earlier, the Ministry of Energy chose Naftogaz-Ukraine as the supplier of last resort on the natural gas market. The corresponding decision was made by the competition commission on July 11.
The price offer of the company is 2 711 UAH (100,4 USD) per thousand cubic meters with VAT at a margin of 0%.
