Nafrogaz is going to file additional suits against Gazprom for more than $5 billion, as Yuriy Vitrenko, commercial director of Naftogaz, told 5 Channel on air.

“As to the transit contract, we are waiting for the decisions on our suits, as Gazpron has a law suit, but for a very small sum. While our claims are over $13 billion, that we already put, and we will claim $5 billion more, Gazprom demands $7 million. I think, the sum is around that number,” Vitrenko said.

Since 2014 two cases are handled in Stockholm. Ukraine demands $50 billion in total. Both of the cases are on the contract on gas delivery, which was signed in January 2009 after the negotiations of at the time Ukraine’s Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and her counterpart Vladimir Putin.
