Naftogaz-Ukraine, referring to today's statement made by Russia’s Minister of Energy Alexander Novak on gas and gas agreements between Ukraine and Russia, stressed that this entailed an agreement reached on December 20, in Minsk. This was reported by its press service on the company’s Facebook page.
"It should be pointed out to the media that in today's statement to "RIA-Novosti" there is a reference to the agreement of December 20. If there is new information, we will inform about it. At this point, the negotiations are ongoing," the company said.
As we reported earlier, Kyiv and Moscow refused from mutual claims in terms of gas negotiations. The sides agreed to zero these claims on January 1. Aleksandr Novak, the Russian Energy Minister said so as quoted by RIA Novosti news agency.
The parties will refuse from the lawsuits, where there are no decisions yet. It became a part of the protocol on the gas cooperation, which was signed on December 20.
Gazprom also agreed to pay Naftogaz 2.9 billion dollars under the decision of Stockholm arbitrary court. The sides will sign a peace agreement, which foresees that the anti-monopoly claims worth 7.4 billion dollars will be lifted.
