Naftogaz JSC announced the placement of its Eurobonds for 600 million euros and 335 million dollars, which totals about 1 billion dollars. This was reported by the press service of the company on its Facebook page.

"We managed to attract financing on good terms: the company placed five-year bonds in euros with a yield of 7.125% and three-year bonds in US dollars with a yield of 7.375%. This is much better than the conditions we were offered in November last year," the report said.

According to Naftogaz, the investors' request for its securities exceeded the offer by more than 2.5 times. Eurobonds were acquired by more than 120 investors from the UK, other countries in Europe, Asia, South America and other countries.

It is noted that raising funds on the international capital market on favorable terms will allow the company to prepare well for the next winter, to pump the necessary volumes of gas into underground storage facilities.

The specified amount was agreed with the Cabinet of Ministers, but Eurobonds are not secured with state guarantees, Naftogaz informed.

The funds are expected to arrive on July 19, after completion of all legal formalities, which usually last 5 business days.

Earlier it was reported that in August of the current year Naftogaz could suspend the import of natural gas for its injection into underground storage facilities, if the issue with financing is not resolved.
