NABU established Ukrnafta’s involvement in oil theft for almost 330 million dollars

National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) initiated an investigation of the fact of oil theft for almost 330 million dollars, supplied by the oil producing company Ukrnafta in March – October 2015. This was stated in the Kyiv court decision on October 11, 2016.

Ukrnafta filed 6 lawsuits to Kharkiv regional court in August 2016 against five companies requesting to commit the companies clear arrears in payment for almost 330 million dollars, according to ePravda.

Ukrnafta stated that the debt of the five companies appeared due to the incomplete payment for the oil supplied, which was sold on the Ukranafta’s auctions in March – August of 2015.

However, NABU detectives established that Ukrnafta executive officers acted acted in the collision with the officials of the five companies and two more – Ukrtatnafta and PJSC NPK-Galchyna. The collusion led to seizing oil for the amount of almost 330 million dollars.

State Fiscal Service initiated a pre-trial investigation of false debtor indebtedness of Ukrnafta in February 2016.

As mass media reported, the companies are owned by the offshore companies, associated with group of companies Private of Ihor Kolomoysky and Gennadiy Bogolyubov.
