The Ministry of Finance expects the visit of the IMF mission to Ukraine by the end of the year. Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko stated this during a briefing broadcast by the 112 Ukraine TV channel.
“Regarding the IMF, we are working with the mission, we have a constant dialogue, constant contacts. We are waiting for the Fund's mission to make a decision on revising the program. We do not know when this decision should be expected from them,” Marchenko said.
When asked whether the IMF mission would come to Ukraine by the end of the year, Marchenko replied: "We hope so, we do not envisage other scenarios."
As we reported before, Ukraine needs a restart after the coronavirus pandemic. Serhiy Marchenko said so during the presentation of the draft state budget for 2021.
According to him, the draft state budget for 2021 envisages support for business activities and a course for economic transformation, which is necessary for recovery from the crisis caused by Covid-19.
