The draft law of the next year's state budget foresees the minimum salary on the level of 4,173 Ukrainian hryvnas (132 U.S. dollars per month). The hourly amount will make about 25.13 hryvnas (90 cents) per hour. The respective documents have been released via the parliament's website.
The current minimum wage in Ukraine totals 3,273 hryvnas, or 132 dollars per month; the hourly amount makes 22.41, or approximately 80 U.S. cents per hour.
The draft law for 2019 state budget was submitted at the Ukrainian Parliament on September 15. Earlier, it became known that the draft state budget for 2019 provides for GDP growth of 3 percent with inflation 7.4 percent. At the same time, it is expected that the nominal GDP for the current and next year will grow by 1 trillion UAH. The debt load, according to Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, next year will drop to 52.2 percent of the GDP, and in 2020 - to 49 percent.
