The volume of migrant workers' money transfers to Ukraine in September 2020 increased by 5.6% - to 1.1 billion dollars, compared to September last year. Such data were published by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

It is also reported that the volume of private remittances to the country decreased by 2.5% (to 8.48 billion dollars) in the first nine months of 2020 compared to the same period last year. Most of the transfers, according to the NBU, went through correspondent accounts of banks - 3.39 billion dollars, or 40% of all transfers.

As we reported earlier, The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine appeals to the European Investment Bank (EIB) with a request to provide the financing of 25 million euros for small and medium-sized enterprises in the fight against Covid-19.

“To approve the draft letter of the government of Ukraine to the European Investment Bank toward the confirmation of the independence of the offer on the financing by the mentioned bank of ProCredit Bank project for small and medium-sized enterprises and enterprises with mid-cap fund – the emergency aid in the fight against Covid-19 by the framework deal between Ukraine and the European Investment Bank signed on June 15, 2005,” reads the message.
