London court obliges Kolomoysky and Bogolyubov to pay 14 million dollars to PrivatBank

Former shareholders of PrivatBank Ihor Kolomoisky and Gennady Bogolyubov are obliged to pay the bank 14 million dollars by November 12, 2019. This was reported by the bank's press service.

Thus, the defendants are also encharged to repay the interim payment of the bank's expenses for the last year’s decision of the first instance court.

The bank is to receive 5,1 million dollars from Kolomoisky, 2,5 million dollars from Bogolyubov and 1,9 million dollars from corporate defendants.

"Among other things, the defendants must repay the bank's expenses for last year's hearing of Judge Fancourt and the expenses for the appeal. Although it will take some time for the defendants to pay 4.3 million dollars before November 12," the message to "PrivatBank" states.

As we reported earlier, State-owned PrivatBank won in the Court of Appeal on the jurisdiction claim against the former owners of the bank Ihor Kolomoysky and Gennady Bogolyubov. This was reported by the bank's press service.

"The Court of Appeal decided that the English court has jurisdiction to consider PrivatBank's fraud claim against its former owners, Mr. Ihor Kolomoysky and Mr. Gennady Bogolyubov. A worldwide court order, which was obtained in December 2017, remains in force pending the decision on the merits," the statement said.
