The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevicius claimed about the necessity to provide Ukraine the massive financing on the model of Marshall Plan. He said this during his speech at Ukraine Reform Conference in London as European Truth reported.

‘I summon EBRD, EIB and the World Bank to support this idea. These financial establishments already supported the reforms in Ukraine. Now we can join efforts to obtain really tangible result’, Linkevicius claimed.

He reminded that this refers to the allocation of 5.7 billion of dollars yearly on condition of reforms implementation.

‘Surely the help should be granted under clear conditions. We should not stay where we are and this is the key point’, he explained.

Also, Linkevicius emphasized that there is the necessity to agree on such help in correspondence with the plan that was offered by the former Prime Minister of Lithuania Andrius Kubilius.

The Marshall Plan of the long-term support of Ukraine was officially sustained by the European People’s Party and it will be submitted at the Eastern Partnership summit in Brussels in November.

Lithuania allocated 45.500 of dollars to the ICRC to purchase the medicaments to the citizens of Avdiivka.
