The law on the land market should be enacted meaningfully, not in turbo-regime. Political expert Viktor Proshkin commented on the legislative initiative of the Servant of the People party on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.
According to the expert, it suits the European Bank the opening of the land market in Ukraine in practical terms as the Bank credits mainly small and medium-sized types of business.
"And speaking about Ukraine, indeed, it should enact such laws in turbo-regime. The market must be but it has to be сlear and not let farmers and landowners get losses and possibilities," he said.
Earlier, the World Bank supported fully the opening of market land planned by the Ukrainian government.
The financial institution believed that the planned reform would put an end to hit-and-run attacks on farmers and stop corruption in the agricultural market.
However, Managing Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for Eastern Europe and the Caucasus Matteo Patrone thought that the rapid implementation of land reform in Ukraine could lead to irreversible errors.
