“The winner of the auction conducted through Prozorro.Sale and the E-Tender electronic platform, will have the opportunity to conclude an agreement for three months. KP Besarabsky rynok has become the first in Ukraine to have made this step. The new policy will reduce the corruption risk, help local producers to sell their products without having to find a middleman”, - the message published on the enterprise’s official Facebook page reads.
As the market’s press service said, the market premises are going to undergo renovation: in 2017, the enterprise paid back around $110,000 of its debt, which has allowed to proceed to the aforementioned measures.
“We began considering bids on renovation works at the market, however, the subject requires detailed analysis, as the building of Besarabsky market is an architectural landmark of the city”, the enterprise’s press service said citing its director Mykola Kovalchuk.
According to Kovalchuk, the company paid back the debt owed to the city of Kyiv ($74 million) over the last three years.
KP Besarabsky rynok was founded in 1992. It is operated by the main trade and utilities department of the Kyiv City State Administration. The enterprise is engaged in leasing of retail spaces and stalls at Besarabsky market, spread out across an area of 896 square meters. The registered capital of the enterprise currently amounts to $70,000.
