Companies controlled by Ukrainian oligarch Kolomoysky and his aides owe PrivatBank 7.5 million U.S. dollars. Galyna Pakhanchuk, the Deputy Chairman of PrivatBank said so as quoted by Novoye Vremya.

The audit report confirmed this sum. Yet, Pakhanchuk stated that the amount of debt reached $8.5 billion. It includes loans and percentage assessed due to non-payment.

“Supposedly, the companies controlled by the former owners of the bank owe $8.5 billion. $7.5 is confirmed by the audit report. Loans and interests assessed but not received", it said.

Earlier, the nationalized PrivatBank filed a lawsuit against its ex-owner Ihor Kolomoysky; it will be considered by the Court of Chancery of Denver in the U.S.

As it was reported earlier, the court merged five Kolomoysky’s lawsuits against Ukraine's National Bank.

The Prosecutor General Office launched an investigation on alleged pressure put by President Poroshenko on judges of PrivatBank case.

On April 18, Kyiv-based court ruled that the nationalization of Privatbank in late 2017 was 'conducted with multiple law breaches.' The court, thus, granted the motion by Ihor Kolomoysky, the oligarch who appealed against the nationalization of the bank he had owned.

District Administrative Court of Kyiv granted the claim of Ukrainian oligarch Ihor Kolomoysky against the National Bank of Ukraine and Ukraine’s Government on nationalization of PrivatBank.
