In the near future, Ukraine's inflation will exceed ten percent per annum but will slow down at the end of 2021 with a subsequent return to the five percent point in 2022. This was reported by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
"Inflation will slightly exceed 10% in the near future, but will slow down at the end of 2021 and return to the target of 5% in the second half of 2022," the message says.
After reaching its peak this autumn, inflation will slow due to a new crop and adjustments in global energy prices.
According to the NBU forecast, in the second half of next year, inflation will return to the target of 5% and remain in this range.
