Consumer prices in Ukraine at the end of September 2020 increased by 0.5%. The report of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
"Inflation in the consumer market in September 2020 compared to August 2020 amounted to 0.5%; since the beginning of the year, it made 1.7%. Core inflation in September 2020 compared to August 2020 amounted to 1.1 %; from the beginning of the year, the index made 2.6%," the message says.
At the same time, we note that in September prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages in Ukraine decreased by 0.6%; for shoes and clothes, it increased by 7.9%. Housing, water, electricity, gas and other types of fuel rose by 3.6%, including gas prices increased by 18.4%.
Household items and household appliances rose in price by 0.2%, health care rose in price by 0.4%, transport rose in price by 0.5%, prices for communications did not change, for recreation and culture fell by 0.6%, and prices for education increased by 11.0%. Restaurants and hotels fell by 0.7%.
As we reported before, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) set the currency exchange rates for Friday, October 9. Thus, 1 USD to cost 28.28 UAH.
